About the Event
Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Lunar New Year! Lunar New Year is a festival that celebrates the beginning of the new year on the lunar calendar. It is celebrated by many cultures including the Chinese (Chinese New Year/ Spring Festival), the Vietnamese (Tê’t), the Koreans (Solnal) and the Tibetans (Losar).
Come celebrate with your hosts, Imelda The and Meg Gerner, and learn about a holiday celebrated by 2 billion people in the world.
There will be storytelling as well as an arts and crafts session. The kids will learn about the holiday and go home with their own hong bao (lucky red envelope) and a tasty surprise.
This event is open for children from 4 years old onwards. This is not a drop-off activity and parents are required to stay on site please.
